 How Do Individuals and Groups Make Gifts to Us?
Let Us Count the Ways . . .
 Annual Giving Campaign
This year we are asking individuals (including parents and friends), businesses, foundations, government groups, grant-making organizations, and civic and community organizations to make their gifts to The Kennedy Center once again through an Annual Giving Campaign. These gifts are tax-deductible and 100% goes to fund programs and services for persons with disabilities and special needs.
But there is something new - now you can give online at our secure site! To make an online donation, please click on the icon at the right of this page.
Giving categories will be highlighted in our Annual Report and in our Sharing donor report which lists all gifts through December 31st each year.
Foundations and Grants
Each year a number of grant proposals are written to a large variety of corporate groups, private, family, and nonprofit foundations, to state and federal groups, as well as, community and civic groups with requests to fund certain needs within The Kennedy Center.
In the past this area has provided support for camperships and recreation, family respite care, Senior Options Adult Day Center, lift-equipped mini bus, residential minivan, and group home renovations, equipment and more.
Endowment Fund
- Named Funds - established through an initial gift/pledge of $ 10,000
- Brick Walk - opportunity to honor individuals, groups with bricks from $ 100 - $ 1,000+
Bequests, Memorials & Celebrations
- Wills - many individuals name The Kennedy Center as a recipient of their estate, or suggest contributions in lieu of flowers in obituaries.
- Memorials - although loved ones may have passed on, relatives and friends many times pay homage to them on the anniversary of their deaths or what would have been a birthday.
- Celebrations - a significant anniversary, a joyful wedding, a birthday, the birth of child. All of these and many other special events have served as significant reasons for many individuals to make a special gift to The Kennedy Center.
Sponsorships
- Special Events - the Cabaret, the Four Seasons Ball, the Golf Tournament, Magic Moments, Visions of the Heart, and the Annual Meeting are all opportunities for businesses and individuals to become special sponsors for a special event.
